I have a question for you guys

Josh, do you know if it is possible to get a paintball marker modeled after the FAMAS assault rifle?
taggearpaintball

I have never seen one, but I won't say it is impossible.  Try Spec Ops...usually the first place to look for Mil-Sim paintball guns.  If there is one out there, there is a decent chance we can get it in.

Also, just for future reference...you'll get quicker responses from me and Jeremiah by calling or stopping in the store.  Neither of us spend enough time on these forums to answer questions quickly.  I just happened to be bored at work at the moment.

Thanks.

I believe that there isn't an actual mod for any marker that will make it into a FAMAS, nor a marker that you can buy that is premade into one.  The only way I know is to mod a marker and fit it into a shell of an airsoft FAMAS Frame...

Couple of links...

This guy is building one and has had several updates.

Thanks for the links.

Yeah sure, no problem. I have always thought that it would be a cool looking marker, but I never had the time to try it.

Here is a completed Pro-Lite "FAMAS". Just finished it last night.

Looks good, nice job! That was fast  Shocked

Srloin and I have been tossing this idea around for a few weeks now.

After test firing it, it seems to work great. The only down side is that I have to use a hose without the sliding check because the magazine isn't wide enough.

If anyone wants to make one themselves, I suggest buying a Pro-cabine off the internet. As it wont have the ASA magazine issue.

Cost:
$65 rental Pro-lite       (Chilli)
$29 FAMAS airsoft gun (Walmart)
$20 for hand grinder    (Harbor Freight)

$114 total       Roughly 6-7 hours of work

Good job guys!  There's a couple of plumbing things we could do to help with the remote setup.  Can't wait to play with it.
